“The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.” – Matthew 23: 2-3 (NIV)
As the above Biblical passage reveals, people saying they believe in God’s truths – but really don’t behave or act as if they do – is nothing new. And as the looming U.S. Presidential election illustrates, there are plenty of Christians who claim to believe in Christ as savior, but aren’t acting as if they have confidence in His authority. This sad attempt in serving two masters – God and Humanism – ultimately places God second, and portrays Christians as inconsistent and hypocritical.
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” – Matthew 6:24 (also see Matthew 23: 2-28)
As Stephen Stone (President of Renew America) wrote in his article Pragmatism vs. Principle: what to do with Mitt, “I happen to feel, if I can speak candidly, that a fairly large number of us (Christians) who profess to believe in God not only contradict that profession of faith when truly tested by God, but behave like atheists in doing so.” He also states that, “I think it’s fair to say that God has had a hand in the absurd ‘ lesser of evils’ choice placed before us this year, as part of His judgements, to see how we will act with out nation’s very existence on the line, and with seemingly no real choice for president. He wants us to demonstrate whether we will trust in Him, or rely on ourselves, in determining what to do.”
Unfortunately, because many Christians have allowed Pragmatism to rule their decisions (a philosophy that justifies doing anything that promises to work, without regard for moral considerations, biblical truth, or the will of God), they have unwittingly fallen into the trap of utilizing a godless system of human judgement. In other words, an atheistic/Marxist doctrine that believes the ends justifies the means. Stone writes that, “We delude ourselves if we think that, by taking thought, we can bring about any particular outcome. Only God has such power over reality. At best, we humans can only hope for a desired outcome as a consequence of our choices (based on our limited wisdom), for which we typically express disappointment when things don’t turn out as we expect (all the while, excusing our foolishness).”
The point, as Stone says, is “To vote for Mitt – an act that presumes he’s needed to prevent our nation’s collapse – is to ignore reality, and to offend the only One capable of delivering us from the very real threat of destruction that confronts us (evil origination from our own hearts as a people): the Creator God.”

Romney’s effective Deception
Mitt Romney, as governor of Massachusetts, forced same-sex marriage upon the people of that community. In Amy L. Contrada’s book, How Gay Marriage came to Massachusetts, the book details that although “candidate Romney is now pledging to appoint only strict constitutionalists to the federal bench, as Governor he unconstitutionally enforced a Massachusetts high court ruling – enabling the judicial activism he now says he opposes. Despite his claims that he did all he could to protect marriage, Romney’s failure to uphold the Massachusetts Constitution resulted in the illegal issuance of null-and-void marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Further, he had failed to support a strong, early marriage amendment proposal, and his later assurances that a constitutional amendment was sure to pass proved wrong.”
“Romneycare“, the first socialized healthcare plan of its kind in America, served as inspiration for “Obamacare”. So says David Axelrod, former White House advisor at Conservatives for America: “the ex-Massachusetts governor’s health plan “inspired” President Obama and was a “template” for the White House’s own national program.”
Romney is not as pro-life as you think. See: Romney invested in Medical-waste firm that disposed in aborted fetuses government documents show (Mother Jones)
Romney has funded nearly half of his 2008 campaign expenditures with his own money (fueling his 2012 run, and attracting deep pockets for record fundraising). If Mitt wins Nov. 6, he will effectively have bought the presidency.See: Right Wing Billionaires behind Mitt Romney (Rolling Stone)

We WILL have either a President Romney or a President Obama next year. May I make an imperfect analogy? The power of the presidency is like a loaded gun. We get to have a voice in who will hold that gun. All choices are imperfect. But the person who WILLFULLY abstains from voting — or votes for someone who isn’t even on the ballot in the majority of states is LEAVING that LOADED GUN lying on the table for whoever to pick up. If you really think that is what God is calling you to do, have at it! Vote 3rd party or stay home. You will be held accountable for your choice, as we all will.
