St. Joseph Missouri Patriots call for Intervention: Virginia Weigum, Coordinator of Saint Joseph, MO Tea Party Patriots recently stated in regards to the debt ceiling that the Federal President is stealing from our young people. “Every dollar increase in the debt ceiling is another dollar stolen from our children and from young people who aren’t even old enough to vote. We must stop splurging on ourselves and sending our children the bill. Deadbeats and addicts ensure they get their own ‘fix’ and leave their children to waste away. A government addicted to spending cannot long last without overdosing and going bankrupt. We need to stage an intervention to change our government’s spending habits, and we need it now.”

Sheriff takes stand against Federal Government: In the Jan. 11, 2013 Breitbart article “Kentucky Sheriff to Obama on gun control: ‘No gun control in my county’” – Sheriff Denny Peyman (from Jackson County Kentucky)stated that, “My office will not comply with any federal action which violates the United States Constitution or the Kentucky Constitution which I swore uphold.” And instead of worrying about repercussions for doing this, Sheriff Peyman sees the gun control push as a sign of weakness that will crumble in the face of real opposition: “Just a few of us have to be willing to stand up to political opposition putting our people at risk. The other side will back down.”

Missouri House will retake Proper Oath: As reported here, 0n January 9th, the Chief Justice of the Missouri Supreme Court (the radical Pennsylvania native Rick Teitelman) officiated the swearing in of the entire House of Representative. The judge’s version of the oath varied from the Constitutionally stipulated version, though…because rather than swearing to support and defend the Constitution, the judge had the entire body swear to support and defend the Government And while the Reps also signed a written oath, and that oath was correct, citizens across the state were quite concerned about this lapse. As relayed by Missouri First, Speaker Jones was responsive and has been accommodating, saying he shared our concern. Thus to his credit, the Speaker has scheduled a re-administering of the oath in order to underscore the importance of Missouri’s Oath of Office.
