House: HB 70 [Teacher Concealed Carry] Representative Mike Kelley – District 127: Allows a teacher or school administrator to carry a concealed firearm into a higher education institution or elementary or secondary school if he or she has a valid concealed carry endorsement or permit

House: HB 162 [Firearms Freedom Act] Representative Chrissy Sommer – District 106: Establishes the Missouri Firearms Freedom Act

House: HB 170 [2nd Amendment Preservation Act] Representative Casey Guernsey – District 002: Specifies that a federal official must not enforce a federal firearm law when the firearm is manufactured and remains in the state and that any new federal law banning or restricting ownership of a semi-automatic firearm is unenforceable

House: HB 181 [Intrastate Commerce Act] Rep. Chrissy Sommer – District 106: Establishes Intrastate Commerce Act which specifies all goods produced or manufactured in Missouri and remain in Missouri aren’t subject to federal law or regulation

House: HB 209 [2nd Amendment Preservation Act (+emergency clause)] Representative Todd Richardson – District 152: Specifies that a federal official must not enforce a federal firearm law when the firearm is manufactured and remains in the state and that any new federal law banning or restricting ownership of a semi-automatic firearm is unenforceable

House: HCR 6 [Tenth Amendment] Representative Chrissy Sommer – District 106: Claims sovereignty for the states under the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution for all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government under the Constitution

House: HCR 8 [UN Arms Treaty] Representative Mark Parkinson – District 105: A resolution against the adoption of a United Nations Arms Trade Treaty

Joint: HJR 15 [Amend Constitution: Right to ammunition] Representative Rick Brattin – District 055: Proposes a constitutional amendment specifying that the right of every citizen to possess or purchase ammunition for the proper functioning of arms must not be infringed or limited

House: HB 89 [Firearm Responsibility Act (firearms storage)]Representative Mike Colona – District 080: Establishes the Firearm Responsibility Act which specifies that a person commits the crime of failure to secure a firearm if he or she fails to secure a firearm at all times when it is not in active use

House: HB 187 [Firearms sales require FFL]Representative Stacey Newman – District 087: Requires that all sales or transfers of firearms be processed through a licensed firearms dealer

Senate: SB 124 [Firearms Storage & School Notification] Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal – District 14: Creates crimes of failing to stop illegal firearm possession, negligent storage of a firearm, and failure to notify a school of firearm ownership

  1. Now correct me if I am wrong, but if it is in my house isn’t that secured? After all no one has permission to trespass on my property. Then again it is about the “evil gun” not the criminal.
